East-West Debt march 2003 news, update : GEORGIA
Gerorgia The Georgian Minister of Finance signed an agreement to reschedule part of Georgia's state debts to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran.
The rescheduled sum amounts to $30 million.
The rescheduling scheme was agreed in line with Paris Club standard terms. Consequently, the payment period was set at 20 years, with a grace period of 3 years and an annual interest rate of 3%. An agreement on write-off of Georgia's state debt to China is planned to be signed in the near future.
